Losing September have returned with a new single “Curse the Sky”, which is sequel to their previous single “Contagious”. The song was written after their long time guitarist announced he has been diagnosed with stage 4 lymphoma, and it is a cry for mercy and a testimonial.
The video starts out with a news report before delving into the rocking anthem that follow. It is a touching song as we all been in those experiences of having someone close to us that has either been diagnosed or taken by cancer. We all have pleaded for a miracle that they will survive and live a long prosperous life. You can feel the pain as the band pleads to not have their brother taken away. The video itself shows a kidnapper being pursued, only to have the boy the captured escape him. Fun fact is the boy is the band’s new 13 year old drummer. The kidnapper runs after him, and ends up being hit by a car. He is assumed dead, only to revive himself and attack a fellow compatriot as the song ends. I really enjoyed the melodies of the song, and the production that went into the video. Here’s an exclusive YouTube take on the video available now on Facebook!
If you enjoyed what you heard, the song will be available on Itunes.
