North Carolina Hard Rock band To Begin Anew recently released their third single “Awaken” and it is a doozy.
The song starts out rocking, and keeps up the intensity throughout the video. It is about waking up and fighting back against a system designed to hold you down. The video shows the band performing the song with little clips of society throughout history where people rose up against injustices. The chorus goes about not going down without a fight, which is a pretty important message especially in this day and age where this so much to fight for. I enjoyed the guitar and vocal work of the song, and as a whole, I thought it was a pretty damn good tune.
