Here is the latest barn burner from Pittsburgh alt metal band Winter’s Descent called “Fortune. It is a heavy metal anthem about finding the courage to stand your ground when everything and everyone seems to be against you. The refrain goes “Fortune favors the bold”, and that is something I find very relatable. Sometimes you just have to throw caution to the wind, and even though everyone is telling you what to do, do what you feel is right. You feel it in your gut, your spirit that the move you want to make is the right one, and even when it seems you may fail, you still come up on top. There is saying that goes no risk, no reward, and that is something I feel that this song embodies.
