Not My God is a heavy dark industrial project formed by Tim Skold and Nero Bellum and they just released a new single “Ashes” for their upcoming album Simulacra. The album will be their sophomore effort, and so far, the two have proven to be a match made in hell.
The song is dark and brooding, as well as having an unsettling vibe to it. The video features Skold doing his signature crooning while Bellum works his dark magic with the synthesizers. It is very atmospheric with everything framed under a red light, and the makeup style was very well done. The music within is an example of the evolution of dark electronic music, and if this indication, this album might be their darkest works yet.
