House 2: The Other Story(Review)

There are sequels to the 1985 horror classic House that exists but they are largely forgotten. In the case of House 2: The Second Story that is understandable as it is a total snoozefest.

The story sees Jesse and his friend who digs up his long lost ancestor in order to find and protect an ancient relic from falling into the wrong hands.

And that’s essentially it. Nothing of note really happens. To call it horror is a stretch. The Dog-apillar is pretty cute. There’s a sequence with a pterodactyl with them trying to get the relic off of it that goes on way too long. The relic itself other than glowing blue doesn’t even do anything special.

There are weird time jumps. A guy looking like a jobber out of WWE shows up. We even see a very young Bill Maher make an appearance. The villian is good at looking imposing but is in no way an actual threat.

Yeah if you’re actually curious then you can watch this on Tubi. You would be better off skipping it, but if you’re having trouble sleeping, this movie will definitely help you with that. There are two others House 3: The Horror Show and House 4 I haven’t seen yet, but will have to visit some day.
