Night of the Comet(Review)[Twisted Throwback Thursday]

ou have to love 80s movies where you watch them, and you’re like that is totally 80s. That is essentially what Night of the Comet is like, except it’s also a bit of a Christmas movie?

The plot is about two sisters who are one of the few remaining survivors after a Comet passes and vaporizing most of the world’s population. Those that are left have become zombified. The girls have to figure out what to make of the new world as they face new threats every time they turn around.

You have everything that exemplifies an 80s movie. The cheesy dialog. Girls going shopping complete with a montage. Video games. And cool guys with fast cars. So the movie calls the other survivors zombies except not exactly because they retained their intelligence and personality. They just look dead, which the makeup effects make them look pretty gross looking. And that’s not all the girls have to worry about.

Later in the movie, we see these doctors and scientists, but since they also been exposed to the comet, they are losing their memory. Yeah, that’s not good at all. Will the girls survive everything coming for them? You will have to watch the movie to find out.

In all this was an enjoyable fun ride, and it’s funny too. Not exactly scary, but still a great horror movie nevertheless. If you’re like me, and want to see this for the very first time, it is currently streaming on Shudder! I highly recommend it.

Till next time, stay scared!
