The Death of Zenith – Umbra(Review)

The story of Overnight hotel is not over, it only just began. Solunar Records proudly presents the next chapter known as Umbra by none other than The Death of Zenith. More than just the music, there is a novel that will be coming as well. Building more of the universe and people within it who are caught up by forces they cannot comprehend.

The EP which is meant to accompany the book contains 6 tracks, each track ready to inject you with their special vemom. It doesnt hesitate to throw down with combination of industrial metal and pummeling rhythm. The man behind the Caleb Straus transistions from rapping to balls to the wall death metal growling. I loved every track on this EP so its hard to pinpoint my favorites, but if I had to choose, “Umbra”, “SunDevilMoonWitch, and “His Name is Craven Paulson”.

As a whole. this one absolutely tickled my fancy, and there are aspects of it that are very relatable to what I am about. There is a personal story that Caleb hidden deep within as well to help him cope with a hard battle he had to face. This EP will kick your entire ass leaving you breathless and bleeding.

The EP released last Friday July 25th and is out on most streaming music platforms, such as Youtube, so if you like what you heard, definitely give it some love.
