Bag of Lies(Review) - Gruesome Gazette

When someone you love ends up with a terminal diagnosis, what lengths would you go just to have more time with them? Bag of Lies explores that topic where the cure comes at a cost.

The story in this one sees a man whose wife has been diagnosed with cancer. He seeks hope that she can be saved, so he meets a stranger who gives him a bag and tells of a dark ritual that will have the answers he seeks. His wife starts to get better but the cost will be his sanity.

They give three rules in regards to the bag, but there was no point because for the rules didnt matter anyway and they dont even listen to them.

This poor chump has no clue what he is in for as the bag messes with his head big time. His wife seems to be getting better but there’s questions of what is real or if the bag could be influencing the events.

He tracks down the source of where the bag came from only to discover it’s inevitable. The rest of the film goes off the rails from there.

The true horror that is the theme is when someone you love is doomed to die. How would a person even cope with that? The husband was having a hard time as it was before he got himself in a bigger mess. There are other scares especially when the bag came into the picture. For the most part I found this film pretty interesting. It’s not at the level of being like on top of the list but its still performs good enough due to the messages it contains. Very emotional and raw portrayal. Very tight knit cast as well. It is currently steaming on Amazon Prime if you wish to see it for yourself.
