Christmas Bloody Christmas(Happy Horrordays #15)(Review)[Terrifying Theatrical Tuesday]

If you are seeking that stocking stuffer to include in your horror stocking, then look no further than Christmas Bloody Christmas. This one will definitely suit your palate as it gets very brutal in a hurry.

The plot is about a record store owner who just wants to spend Christmas Eve getting drunk and partying. However she ends up terrorized by a defective robotic Santa who instead of bringing good tide and joy, wants to murder everyone.

So the movie starts with a block of parody commercials, one of them advertising Robo Santa Plus, which ends up being the antagonist of this film. There is an explanation given as to why this happens.

The movie is light on plot, but once the rampaging Santa starts killing everyone in sight, things start escalating from there. The kills are very brutal, we see people split open, faces smashed, and even kids are not safe. What’s worse is this robot has a single minded determination, like if he wants you dead, he won’t stop coming after you.

Now I seen sometimes people have mentioned Terminator Santa in reference to the movie, and after watching it, I can see why. There are definite references to Terminator including a little homage to the theme song. I don’t know if that was done purposely but it is absolutely there.

Stay for the absolutely balls to the wall ending where the protagonist has to keep fighting something that seems impossible to be defeated.

I enjoyed the movie more than I thought I would. I definitely appreciate the way it was shot, it had a very indie feel to it. And some of the kills had very holy shit moments. This one is currently streaming on Shudder, so if you want something a little different to watch on Christmas, I highly recommend this one.
