The enigmatic experimental rock band I’m An Alien is back with their sophomore album So What’s Next. They answer that question within the space of the album which has a total of ten tracks.
It opens with the spacey intro track called “Vissionary” before leading right to the next couple bangers “So What Do You Stand For” and “Purify(ft James Taylor and Cujo Bonvie)”. Just as he did on the first album, the lead singer Gigtus pours a lot of his passion into his performance here. The guitar and bass work is about as good as it was on the first album, if not better. There’s a good amount of features on this album, though the one that stands out the most is “Borderline” which features David Magallanez from Pigweed. You can check out the official music video of that track below.
Essentially the second offering from I’m An Alien continues to show the range and growth of the band, and they even have quite a few heavy songs on this album such as “What I Hide You Will Never Know”. The lead singer called this album his release and his therapy, and how it helped him in so many ways. I feel this album can be very therapeutic to the listener as well. Each tracks offers something different, all the way to the final track “You Point The Finger”. So What’s Next is a very enjoyable journey, and will leave you wanting more. If you are one of those people, some good news is that work has begun on a third album which will be even more experimental, and aiming to release that in 2023.
So What’s Next is currently out now, and you can check it out on all streaming sites such as Amazon Music and Spotify. I highly recommend giving it a listen and experiencing the journey for yourself.
