Silent Night, Bloody Night(Happy Horrordays #27)(Review)

There are the holiday horrors that are out there that no one seems to talk about, and the one that gets a pass is Silent Night, Bloody Night. It’s easy to see why when better slashers set on Christmas took the stage.

The story in this one sees a man inherit a mansion, and is trying to sell it off. Which ends up being a difficult task when a series of murders occur.

We get a ton of exposition all coming from the former owner of the mansion. The kills that happen are bloody as you would expect when they actually happen. There’s also the strange phone calls coming directly from the killer.

You can see the budding influence this film would have on future slasher films, even as far as the whodunit aspect. There’s a twist ending which is pretty clever for a film from the 1970s.

This isnt bad, there’s more talking than action. You can find it streaming on Tubi if you decide to check it out. It eventually got a remake and a sequel.
