To All A Goodnight(Happy Horrordays #28)(Review)

There was many killer Santa films apparently, here is one from the 80s that was a low budget affair known as To All A Goodnight. It was a slasher and ended up being a cult classic, even inspiring future slashers like Friday the 13th.

The plot sees an all girls boarding school who play a prank that goes terribly wrong. As a result they are being stalked by a killer in a Santa mask who is seeking revenge.

The scenes are very cheesy and almost cringey. The dialogue, and sometimes the character are very awkward. Then when the kills happen, like right off the bat they dont waste time killing the survivors off however the effects arent the greatest. It shows they was working on a limited budget. I’ll give them effort for trying.

Everyone starts having sex. That’s probably skippable when that happens. Then when the ending comes, and they do the twist reveal, it’s actually not much of a twist. They even do the fake out death bit. And for some strange reason one of the girls begins to randomly dance like a ballerina and she’s singing. That was rather odd.

I thought this was okay, mostly laughing or cringing at the way the acting was. You can get an idea how this would inspire othe Santa slashers. If you’re curious you can catch it streaming on Tubi. Just dont be expecting much from it other than a popcorn flick.

If you seen To All A Goodnight, how did you feel about it? Is it truly a cult classic in your eyes? Let us know in the comments below!

Till next time, Happy Horrordays!
