Wishmaster(Review)[Twisted Throwback Thursday]

So I thought I reviewed this one, only to find out apparently I haven’t. Since I was mentioning it in my review Tuesday, I find it appropriate to take the time to talk about Wishmaster. A goretastic all out blast that I hold in high regard.

The movie is about the evil Djinn who is unleashed and grants three wishes to the person who freed him. However if all three wishes are granted it will summon the rest of his kind which will cause hell on earth.
The film is like a horror crossover as all the horror greats show up, such as Robert Englund, Kane Hodder, and Tony Todd. Hopefully not a spoiler to know they all die in horrific ways. This film is very gory and gross. It is terrifying the way the Djinn perverts the wishes, and he takes great pleasure in the torment of his victims. The creature design is fantastic and is stuff out of nightmares. Andrew Divoff plays the creature, and he commits to the role with a sadistic smile.

This is one of my top favorite horror films, and it’s a game as the protagonist has to figure out to outwit a creature older than time. Obviously she doesn’t defeat him, as he comes back for at least 3 other sequels. Wishmaster 2 was the best out of all of them, but none compared to the first movie. Wishmaster is available on most streaming services, and if you have yet to see it, I highly recommend viewing it.
