Conjuring: The Last Rites(Review)

The final entry(for now)of the Conjuring franchise was a return to form with Conjuring: The Last Rites. Definitely much better than the 3rd. Actually might even outdoes the 2nd film as well. Just slightly.

The plot sees the Warren’s take on their most daunting case yet, one that has personal connections to their past.

Their daughter has grown up, but shes not able to leave her demons in the past. Annabelle is still around, but they focus more on the demonic entities that are around.The atmosphere adds a layer of dread, you get jumpscares but also definitely ramps up the levels of terror felt. There’s also some pretty disturbing things that happen, and this is maybe the most bloodiest entry.

They chose to focus on a new demon, and that was a wise choice. You can see where even The Warren’s are outmatched against it. But then, they find out this was all a trap. It will take them uniting as a family if they stand a chance to drive this demon out.

There was the touching moments, they really went all out on this one. I wasnt expecting much, but this entry was definitely better than I was anticipating. It had great scary sequences thats for sure. All in all, I recommend checking it out and it currently streaming on HBO Max.
