Highway to Hell(Review)

90s horror was so strange, and it wasn’t afraid to go balls to the wall with the weird and the wacky. There was many horror from the 90s that became even went on to become cult classics. Such is the case with a movie called Highway to Hell.

The premise sees a young couple eloping to Vegas only to see the woman kidnapped by a demon cop. The man takes a journey into hell so he can win her back.

When it comes to the costumes and makeup designs, it is pretty darn amazing. It’s very low budget, maybe even entirely cheesy at times but you will be having too much fun to even be bothered by any of it.

This movie also features an unique cast of characters, including Ben Stiller, Kristy Swanson, and even Gilbert Gottfried. The Demon Cop is just a menace, literally just tossing people around, and never says a word the entire time.

Then we finally get to meet Satan himself, and that was a cool reveal as well as an awesome design. The ending sees him making a deal but we usually know how that goes for him. But I think maybe that’s how he wanted it to go.

I can see why this is considered a cult classic as it had its charm. Very 90s. Just an enjoyable experience all around. All it was missing was AC/DC on the soundtrack. But they probably couldn’t afford the rights. If you want to see it, its currently streaming on Tubi.
