Red Snow(Happy Horrordays #14)(Review)[Terrifying Theatrical Tuesday}

It’s that time again folks, the slay bells are ringing and it’s the most wonderful time to fear. I got a nice slate of holiday horrors, and to start us off is Red Snow, a Christmas movie with vampires
.
The plot is about a struggling novelist who discovers an injured bat and decides to take it in to nurse it back go health. To her surprise, the next day the bat transforms into a handsome vampire and she must spend the holidays defending herself from a gang of vampires looking to reclaim their kin.

So one thing I appreciated is how they don’t play this straight. The woman is at first naive encountering a vampire for the first time, and begins to trust him and anything he tells her. But there is a lesson to be learned about romanticizing vampires, something the woman learns the hard way.

What starts at light hearted and comedic becomes dark as the movie goes on. Blood flows aplenty and the vampires are as vicious as they come. But the woman shows she can be vicious as well and capable of holding her own, especially when she learns she has been betrayed. What’s that saying? Hell hath no fury like a women scorned? Definitely applies here with how everything ends.

This is something I enjoyed more than I thought even for a low budget film. It’s fun, has some exhilarating moments, and it pulls you into the story and has you on the edge of your seat. Plus it’s vampires on Christmas which is something you don’t see much. It is currently streaming on Prime Video if you want something to enjoy during the horrordays.
