This year gave us two horrors movies based in retirement homes, The Rule Of Jenny Penn and most recently one called The Home. Each show real life horrors of those places while adding imagined horrors to the mix. This one goes to the extreme.
The plot sees Max who is sentenced to work as an orderly in a retirement home. While he is there he discovers a dark secret that threatens the residents as well as himself.
Pete Davidson plays the lead role and John Glover makes an appearance as well. It starts out well enough but doesn’t take long to show very disturbing things happening. It goes almost in Hellraiser territory with some of the imagery. Gorey as heck. If the sight of needles makes you sick, you might want to look away.
As you try to figure what is happening, it isn’t until the wild grand finale that Max finds out exactly what the danger is. Its quite the reveal. Think of Society except more low key. It goes very balls to the walls.
Definitely good, and it might meander abit, but its the ending that really seals the deal. It is currently available to watch on Fandango At Home or Amazon Prime.

Till next time, stay scared!
