The soundtrack to Under the Skin is a very otherworldly and foreboding piece. Crafted masterfully by Mica Levi, the sounds within will unnerve you to the core.
It’s the use of the screeching string work that helps make this soundscape as unsettling as it is. The movie was alien, so it needed a score to match, and I say it was accomplished. Take a listen to the track below and tell me it does not give you chills:
