The original Evil Dead from 1981 was a full on horror, and the score is just as unnerving and intense as the movie was.
Using screeching violins to hone in on the terror was a brilliant work, and the use of creepy keyboards was brilliant as well. This score is orchestral in nature which is pretty amazing for its time.

A horror score that is a rarity nowadays but should be a part of a complete and balanced horror breakfast.
