Marco Beltrami composed a soundtrack that evoked feelings of melancholy and terror which are both common themes this film explores. We deal with a family who are constantly under attack from otherworldly monsters that hunt based on sound. The scores within take us on that journey since the film uses the gimmick of very little spoken word dialogue.
