Dead and Buried(Review)[Twisted Throwback Thursday]

There are those movies that start as something then end up as something else entirely. Dead and Buried is one of those movies, though it is a very morbid affair.

The plot involves a small town sheriff investigating a series of murders to discover something more nefarious is behind the killings. The murders that we see happens are pretty brutal and almost hard to watch. What is more disturbing is the fact each and everyone are being photographed and recorded. We are left to ask why which the answer to that is the most disturbing aspect of all.

A bit of trivia is a young Robert Englund stars in the film, as well as this being the final starring role of Jack Albertson who you may know from Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory. The movie displays what happens when you think you know everyone in town only to find out everyone is hiding secrets. Those secrets prove deadly for anyone who stumbles unto to them, including the sheriff. Though you sort of suspect what happens at the very end of the movie.

I always been curious of what this movie was about as I seen it pop up on various streaming services. I’m glad I finally dived in to watch it, and definitely keeps your interest. It is rated R for a reason and has a reputation for being a video nasty. Just be prepared for a gruesome experience.

Till next time, stay scared!
